Water is the most critical aspect of the mining operations. We will ensure that 100% of the water used in mine washery is recycled. Additionally, the systems, technology and machinery deployed will ensure minimal water usage.
Safety is of paramount importance in coal mining due to its inherent hazardous nature and we consider safety and health as a way of life.
Our operations never compromise safety. Mining activities include high production risk and we apply every effort to mitigate them. Safety is embedded in all our processes and is a non- negotiable part of everyday life across the business.
The company gives a lot of emphasis on inculcating safety in the lives of its employees. Each employee is provided with a health insurance or ESIC, as applicable.

Mining by its very nature requires disturbance to the land and environment and can have impacts on surrounding communities. At the same time mining also delivers significant economic and social benefits to communities, including employment, small business development, tax and royalty streams and education and health programmes.
We try to prevent and minimise impact – social, environmental and health and safety – in part by conducting detailed assessments, in consultation with local communities, and by following robust internal standards and practices that are in line with – and often go beyond – domestic regulations.
